Aim Brings the Magic to the 2025 Sunshine Showcase
Six Aim teams recently returned from the USA Field Hockey 2025 Sunshine Showcase across the U12 through U19 age groups. Three of the six teams ended with first place medals in their respective pools (U14 Orange and U16 Orange) and second place medals (U19 Orange). A special congratulations to U19 Orange who finished second overall out of 66 teams!
Let’s hear from each team’s coaches on their performance throughout the weekend.
U12 Orange – 11th place finish in entire age group!
“U12 Aim Orange team had a fantastic weekend at the Sunshine Showcase. This team improved each game, focusing on skills they identified as things they needed to work on. They were eager to learn, supported each other and had amazing team chemistry. They battled every game and had fun while competing! The U12s finished with a record of 3-2, placing 2nd in their pool and tied for 3rd in bracket play for an overall 11th place finish out of 32 teams.” – Coach Dawn
U14 Orange – Gold Medal, Dug Bracket
“This tournament was an incredible experience for U14 Aim Orange where we truly grew as a team. Watching everyone connect both on and off the field, playing with heart and determination, was inspiring. Winning gold for our flight was an amazing accomplishment, but the real highlight was how we came together and supported each other as a unit.” – Coach Kelsey
U14 Blue – A team full of tenacity and growth
“A weekend full of so much growth and learning for this U14 Aim Blue crew. Each athlete brought their best energy in each game we played, and they ended the tournament with a much-deserved victory. So much more to come for this group and proud of the love of the game that they showed every step of the way!” – Coach Mary
U16 Orange – Gold Medal, Cinderella Bracket
“U16 Aim Orange wrapped up a strong weekend at the Sunshine Showcase, walking away with a 4-2 record and a first-place finish in their flight. After a slower start on day one, the team found its rhythm and elevated their level of play—scoring 20 goals in just four games and making key tactical adjustments that highlighted their hockey IQ and skills. From breaking aerials to top-shelf reverse chips, the group executed at a high level and demonstrated what they were capable of. It was a fantastic weekend of growth and competition.” – Coach Casey
U16 Blue – A team brimming with love for hockey
“It was exciting to witness the team learn and grow after many close games. We ended with a strong last day of beautiful hockey. I am very proud of this team; everyone showcased a strong love for hockey and each other.” – Coach Sofi
U19 Orange – Silver medal, Ursula Bracket, #2 Overall!
“Exceptional – truly an extraordinary weekend. This strong U19 Aim Orange team scored 40 goals for and only let in 2 goals over the course of 6 games. They earned a spot in the championship game in the top flight out of 69 U19 teams. I am proud of this team, on and off the pitch, and of the entire Aim family – something special! ” – Coach Torsten
