Aim Athlete Chats: Mia Pacifico
It’s postseason time for our Aim high school athletes, and we wanted to share a little inside scoop about them as they hit the field for playoffs in the 41st Midwest Field Hockey State Tournament. Next up is U16 Athlete, Mia Pacifico.
Mia is a freshman defender on the Missouri Institute and Country Day School (MICDS) field hockey team. Not only is she a strong presence inside the Ram’s defensive circle, but she also has the skills to efficiently escape the other team’s forwards to pass to her teammates quickly.
She has been a member of the Aim Field Hockey Family since she picked up a stick when she was very young. Over the years, she has grown into a passionate and competitive player who has a sincere love of the game and an endless desire to win.
“Aim has equipped me with all the skills, confidence, and teamwork mindset I need to excel in this fall season, fostering both my personal growth and my commitment to the team,” Mia said.
With her first year of high school season almost complete, she is so excited to see how well her team performs as they play in the Final Four against John Burroughs this afternoon at Sportport. She looks forward to what the next game will bring from the moment the Ram’s Final Four game clock starts at 4pm.
“I have loved working with my team everyday in order to make us successful throughout the season,” she said. “We’ve trained hard, and now it’s time to show our strength and determination on the field.”
Good luck, Mia! We cannot wait to see your steady presence and confidence in the back field during the Final Four today! To view other stories, please visit our news tab on our website.
