Aim Arch City Challenge

A full, one-day event jam-packed with 7v7 games! The Arch City Challenge takes place in mid-April, where we welcome over 100 club teams across the region: Bluegrass, Gateway, IFHCK, Lift, Lonestar, Stealth, Rise, Texas Pride, Windy City, and more! In 2024, we hosted our largest event, making it the country’s largest 7v7 field hockey tournament! Hearing the cheers, watching the kids play hard, play together, and compete, and seeing the kids and parents hanging out as a community was AMAZING!  Mark your calendars for Arch City Challenge 2025: SATURDAY, APRIL 26!

U10, U12, U14, U16 & U19 age groups (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced)
Co-ed in all age groups

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
7v7 games; 25-minute games; Teams will play a minimum of 4 games, and in some age groups, 5 games. Medals will be awarded to the pool winners in each division. 

SCHEDULE
The schedule will be released two weeks prior to the event. The full schedule will be available on Tourney Machine. 

REGISTRATION
Registration will open in January 2025.

Tournaments We Attend

Aim competes in a variety of local, regional and national tournaments throughout the year.  The high-level competition these events provide is an excellent developmental experience for all of our athletes, as well as an exceptional team-building opportunity. Tournament competition is a highlight of our Club program!

MIDWEST BEST

September 21, 2024

General Details: Midwest Best is a Gateway (STL) hosted tournament for U14, U12, and U10 age groups from clubs across the region. This tournament is a one-day event located at Sportport International.

PUMPKIN CLASSIC

October 20, 2024

General Details: The Pumpkin Classic is a Windy City (Chicago, IL) hosted tournament for U14, U12, and U10 age groups from clubs and junior high schools. Teams that have attended from previous years include middle school teams and clubs from Illinois, Missouri, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin. Pumpkin Classic is a one-day event played at two facilities (U10 & U12 at one location, U14 at another location). (USAFH)

SHOOTING STAR

November 29-December 1, 2024

General Details: Shooting Star Tournaments was founded in 2016, when there was a desire in the field hockey community for showcase tournaments on synthetic turf fields. Starting with Thanksgiving in 2016, Shooting Star now hosts 10 tournaments nation-wide, servicing athletes ranging from U10 to Masters (35+). While expanding, Shooting Star has stayed true to their fundamental values, catering to every athlete, club coach, college coach, umpire, parent and fan – striving to provide a professional, inspiring and authentic experience. NATIONAL INDOOR Tournament QUALIFIERS (NITQ)

December 2024

General Details: The National Indoor Tournament Qualifiers (NITQ) are qualifying tournaments for the National Indoor Tournament (NIT) for the U-16 and U-19 Girls divisions. The NITQs are held every year beginning in December and lasting through the end of January and give standout indoor club teams from across the United States a chance to compete regionally for the chance to advance to the annual NIT. WINTER ESCAPE SHOWCASE

January 17-19, 2025

General Details: The NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase is a recruiting event with a mission to find every field hockey player their field hockey home — if you want to play field hockey at the next level, the Winter Escape Showcase is the place to get you there. NFHCA Winter Escape Showcase runs in partnership with the member coaches of the NFHCA.
The event offers a holistic recruiting experience by providing learning opportunities, position-specific showcases, and an audience of college field hockey coaches from every level! (NFHCA/3 Step Sports)

SUNSHINE SHOWCASE

January 24-26, 2025

General Details: USA Field Hockey and Disney host the annual Sunshine Showcase at the ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World Resort. This premier tournament will offer the following divisions for 2024: U-10 Co-Ed (7v7), U-12 Co-Ed (7v7), U-14 Co-Ed (7v7), U-14 Girls (7v7), U-14 Girls (11v11), U-16 Girls (11v11) and U-19 Girls (11v11). Each division is guaranteed five games with a maximum of six games. (USAFH)

NATIONAL INDOOR TOURNAMENTS (NIT)

February - March, 2025

General Details: Every year from the end of February to beginning of March, the sound of squeaky shoes and sticks fills the air at the National Indoor Tournament (NIT). This annual tournament is held at various locations to accommodate the large number of athletes that participate. This event includes U-10 Co-Ed, U-12 Co-Ed, U-14 Co-Ed, U-14 Girls, U-16 Girls, U-19 Boys, U-19 Girls and Adult divisions. The NIT dates back to the late 1990s, with hundreds of teams participating in recent years at Spooky Nooks Sports in Lancaster, Pa. and the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, Va. (USAFH)

USAFH REGIONAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS (RCC)

Mid-Late May

General Details: An RCC with 4 to 6 teams participating will qualify one club. An RCC with 7-16 teams will qualify two clubs. The remaining spots available at the NCC will be offered to those clubs placing 3rd at an RCC with 7+ clubs, or 2nd in an RCC with at least 4 clubs.
The clubs with the highest USA Field Hockey Club Ranking will be offered the available spots amongst those candidates until all spots are filled. If a team forfeits their spot to the NCC, the next highest team from that region will be selected to represent their region at the national level. (USAFH)

REGIONAL CUP TOURNAMENT

General Details: Regional Cup is a Gateway (STL) hosted tournament with regional clubs for all age groups (U10-U19). This tournament is a two-day event located at Sportport International. The Regional Cup is the same weekend as the USA Field Hockey (USAFH) Region 10 Regional Club Championship (RCC) weekend. However, the Regional Cup is not a USAFH-sanctioned event; teams do not compete for a National Championship qualification or receive USAFH Club Points.
