20th Anniversary

The vision began 20 years ago...

Back in 2005, Lauren Cornthwaite had a vision for a different type of field hockey club in St. Louis.  One that would provide outstanding instruction while developing the whole person.  With a passion to grow the game in a new way right here in her hometown of St. Louis, Lauren launched Aim Field Hockey.  This year, we celebrate 20 years of field hockey the Aim way...competition, character, community - and look ahead to continuing this legacy.

HEAR ABOUT THE AIM IMPACT FROM OUR COMMUNITY

We have several thousand Aim alums, athletes, parents, coaches and friends who have experienced the joy of our program.  Below they share their memories.

Aim Parent

As a part of Aim, my daughters have grown not only as field hockey players but also as individuals. They are learning the value of perseverance, the importance of being a good teammate and how to be a leader both on and off the field. The coaches are excellent and encourage the girls to be the best they can be. Our family has loved being a part of Aim Field Hockey.

Mary Pogue

Aim Coach

If there is one place that has changed my life, it's this club. Aim Field Hockey pushed me to become the best player and the best person I could be. I gained high-level coaching, formed life-long friendships and their college recruiting expertise led me to a successful career at my dream school. And now, I get to share my deep love of the game, competitive spirit, and big heart of Aim as one of their club coaches. At Aim, you will learn to be a strong, well-rounded athlete, but it's the dedication and love of the game that will carry you through life.

Aim Parents

Aim is "all around and like family." Aim has taught my girls not only how to play skilled, competitive field hockey, but they have also taught my girls how to be a teammate, leader, and good person. Aim coaches focus on building the skills of the girls as a player. They focus on all areas of the sport - technical, tactical, and overall awareness of the game. We have especially loved the extra technical skills training. The coaching staff is amazing and has helped guide the girls on how to be a good teammate, leader, and friend. Building lifelong friendships while playing a sport they love has truly made an impact on the girls and our family!

Katherine Buchowski

Aim Club Parent

Not only has Aim taught my daughter how to play field hockey competitively, but Aim has also been instrumental in teaching her how to be a good teammate, friend, leader, and human being. Moreover, Aim makes playing field hockey so much fun. My daughter especially loves to travel with her Aim teammates and coaches to many other states in the US (and hopefully abroad some day). We love being a part of the Aim family!

Aim Parent

Our daughters have been involved with many sport clubs over the years and by far Aim ranks at the top. Aim is about developing their athletes as leaders and teammates, and they do an amazing job of team building and bringing the girls together to bond. They develop top-notch field hockey players as well as top-notch people. I am very thankful we found Aim!

Aim Parents

Looking back on our years at Aim I would say the culture is what defines the club.  At a young age our girls were taught to love the game and have fun.  As the years went on the skills, training, teamwork, leadership, and competition escalated and our girls thrived.  The opportunities Aim provided included both outdoor and indoor seasons, trips to Europe, Nationals, RCC, and showcase tournaments. Playing at the D1 level was a goal for each of our girls and a goal they achieved.  What is undeniable is that they still absolutely LOVE the game and are stilling having fun playing.  This speaks to their early days at Aim and the culture provided from start to finish.
