U14 Orange Captures NIT Championship!

Aim Orange finished the National Indoor Tournament undefeated, scoring 35 goals throughout the entire tournament and only allowing 4 goals against for a goal differential of 31. Two years ago, the U14s took first place at NIT so it was great to see a new group back on the medal stand!

Orange came out strong on Friday night with a 5-1 win against Mayhem Yellow. The girls finished the day on Saturday with two more wins against Viper I (2-1) and Strong Island Ripples (12-0). The team had two more games on Sunday.  Aim defeated the Wizards 5-1 and then, entering the final game, Orange was tied in points for first with the team they were facing (Texas Pride White). The girls made a collective effort and stepped up their play tremendously, winning their final game 11-1 and securing the first place finish.

Aim Blue started the tournament out with a tough loss against CPFH Crew. On Saturday, Blue put up a good fight, tying their first game against Windy City Flurry and followed by a tough loss against Mid-Jersey Knights. Aim Blue finished their pool play with a great 4-1 win against Storm C Wildfire on Sunday.

It was another fun weekend competing at this level. There was a great effort put forth by all the athletes.

During down time, both teams had the opportunity to challenge themselves off of the court. Friday afternoon the girls went head to head at Laserdome. On Saturday, both teams were put to the test at Escape on Queen with only one team escaping in the allowed hour.
